Nestled along the Wasatch Mountains and overlooking the largest inland lake in the west, Salt Lake is our home. Widely known to have “The Greatest Snow on Earth,” Salt Lake is surrounded by a dozen resorts which hosted the 2002 Olympics and is the currently pursuing another for 2030. In addition to skiing, outdoor-lovers flock to nearby National Parks that offer some of the most scenic and breathtaking scenery in the world.
Since our early days in 1847, Salt Lake has grown in population, cultural diversity, and accolades. Home to several nationally-recognized universities, we are a forward-thinking and burgeoning mountain-urban hub in the west, evident from a top-shelf performing arts scene, award-winning dining and craft beer culture, and one of the highest LGBTQ populations in the country. Business is booming in the area, including along “Silicon Slopes”, home to many well-known tech companies who appreciate the views and short flights west. We are Salt Lake. With an ever growing number of things to do, places to see, and ways to connect, we believe that our city has an exciting future ahead!
